E. Elliot Adler has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in mass tort, class action and personal injury cases. He has represented individuals, corporations, a bankruptcy trustee and two United States Congressmen (ret.) on both the plaintiff and defense side. He was selected as a “Super Lawyer” by his peers for the years 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Mr. Adler has obtained multi-million dollar awards and settlements in a number of individual matters, including an arbitration award in a property damage and personal injury case, a case resulting from water flooding and intrusion and a class action consumer protection lawsuit. He currently represents a proposed class of thousands of people whose private medical information was released by a hospital.
Mr. Adler also has extensive experience in wildfire litigation. He has represented over 1,000 fire victims with claims for property damages, evacuation, personal injury or death. Mr. Adler, together with his co-counsel, has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in losses caused by the Witch Creek (San Diego, CA), Caughlin (Reno, NV), and Butte (Calaveras, CA) fires.
Mr. Adler received his undergraduate degree from New York University, and his law degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. As a law student, he participated in The Innocence Project, where he represented a Boston man who had been wrongfully convicted, ultimately leading to his release—which marked only the second person in state history to be exonerated for a crime based on DNA.
Mr. Adler is also a California State Bar designated Special Master. In April 2013, he was appointed a Temporary Judge for the San Diego Superior Court (Central Division).
Mr. Adler is licensed to practice law in California and New York.
