Fox Law Obtains $3.15 Million Dollar Result for a Minor Injured in a Restaurant by an Unsteady Table
Fox Law is proud to have obtained a $3.15 million dollar result for a young girl after a wobbly table at a local restaurant tipped over and injured her hand. Plaintiff suffered fractures to her dominant hand resulting in ongoing strength and range of motion limitations. Defendants strongly denied liability and even after the first all-day mediation in this matter, it was a zero offer case. Defendants repeatedly maintained their zero offer stance asserting that the plaintiff was engaged in inappropriate horseplay when the table tipped over and that she did not have adequate supervision. Over years of litigation, Fox Law was able to establish that the table was improperly assembled with a smaller base than was required to support the large table top, the glider on the bottom of the base was improperly maintained, and that both factors were the cause of plaintiffs injuries. We are truly proud to achieve this $3.15 million dollar result on behalf of the plaintiff.
