Fox Law obtains a $1.1 million dollar resolution for a woman injured by a defective water jug.
Our client picked up a 2.5 gallon glass jug of water to place it on a water dispenser. During the transition, the jug shattered in her arms causing lacerations to her hand and forearm. All defendants denied liability asserting there was nothing defective with the jug and argued that our client must have misused or dropped the jug for it to shatter. Through the use of computerized tomography (CT) scans, Fox Law was able to establish the jugs delivered to her home contained manufacturing defects making them unreasonably fragile and unsafe for consumers. This $1.1 million dollar result came after substantial litigation where the initial settlement offer was only $10k.
